What to Expect

Open Hearts, Open Minds

Each Sunday we gather in honor of Christ’s resurrection to praise God from Whom all blessings flow. This is the central tenet of Christian community.

Worship at Chapel Hill is designed to welcome and enrich the lives of all who attend. We come together to acknowledge and celebrate God’s work in our lives. Together we sing, pray, learn and give.

Sermons are presented within a series in order to teach in depth about how God’s Word is alive and applicable today.

Holy Communion is served by intinction during each service. We practice open communion in which all are welcome to participate.

Following the service, a pastor will be available to answer any questions you may have or to pray with and for you should you be in need of prayer.

Our Celebration Choir is led by Dr. Cecil Riney.

Order of Service

Services begin with songs of praise, including both contemporary worship songs and traditional hymns.  Following  the Call to Worship is a time of prayer and offering of our gifts.  Our Celebration Choir then provides a moving anthem to center our hearts for the morning message.

Following the morning’s message, you will be invited to Holy Communion. Please exit your row to the right and return to your row from the left. Let an usher know if you would like to have a server come to you.

After the dismissal blessing, we join together in song to go forth and carry the words and wisdom of God’s love into the world.
