United Methodist Open Door, Inc. was established in 1965 by Methodist clergy and laity as an urban ministry in Wichita. Today the agency opens its doors and hearts to more than 14,500 people in need each month.
Open Door Center
The Open Door Resource and Referral Center, located at 402 E. 2nd Street in downtown Wichita, is home to the agency’s Homeless Resource Center, Klothes Kloset, Vision Quest (a homeless prevention program), Transitional Housing Program office, and administrative offices.
Because of the success of these services, the Center is a center of relief and hope for many. It brings together not only all of these programs, but on-site services for COMCARE Center City, GraceMed Clinic, and other community partners as well.
You can help fund and make contributions. For more information about the program and needs, visit the website, or call 316-265-9371.
