October 15, 2017 – The Serving Community

As we continue the sermon series, “Good and Beautiful Community,” Associate Pastor Jill Sander-Chali focuses this Sunday on the Serving Community. We are the hands and feet of Christ. The tagline used by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America says it all. “God’s work. Our hands.” In this sermon, Pastor Jill asks the following questions: What is the difference between servanthood and servitude? How important is it for me to know my spiritual gifts before I serve? There is a lot of confusion about what servanthood is and isn’t. In keeping with the spirit of the day’s sermon, Chapel Hill also hosted a ministry fair for people to sign up and serve in various ministries in the life of the church. If you missed church on this date but want to become involved, contact Pastor Jill at jsander-chali@chapelhillwichita.org.
