Chapel Hill Preschool received recognition at the Week of the Young Child Impact Awards ceremony, held at Wichita Collegiate School in April. Preschool Director Debie Marklevits won a top five award for administration. Gretchen Skinner received a top five award for teaching. Preschool teachers Cristen Brenner, Patty Curry, Twila Frey, Desiree Fry, and Leah Woolsoncroft were also nominated. The Awards recognize educators nominated by parents, who must describe the positive impact of these teachers on their children. The event made the local evening television news.

With two awards and five nominations, Chapel Hill Preschool made a very strong showing at the event. We give God thanks and praise the quality of our preschool and teachers! The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration first established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. It raises awareness of the needs of young children and families by recognizing outstanding early childhood programs.
