HUNGER RELIEF EVENT 2017!!
April 7-9, 2017 – Chapel Hill Youth & Adult Leaders.
The Event is coming FAST!!
**We want ALL (or as many as possible) students to help and join in the event!
Details of the Hunger Relief Event
This event will combine 5 key elements:
1 – 30 Hour Famine to benefit World Vision Hunger Relief Organization. Fri 5pm-Sat 8pm – Lock-in @ Chapel Hill (for 8th-12th Grade only)
2 – Numana Food Packaging Project – @ World Headquarters in El Dorado – noon-3pm (Saturday April 8 only) This will be open to ALL of Chapel Hill Church Community! A Multi-generational outreach! Find more details here.
3 – Serving a Meal at Lord’s Diner – Sunday April 9 5-8pm. All MS & HS Students
4 – Fund Raising – Each 30 Hour Famine Participant will need to raise $25 minimum for World Vision. Each Numana Participant will raise minimum of $45 for the event. The more the students raise, there are prizes available! 100% of the money brought in goes to Hunger Relief around the world!
5 – Spiritual Growth & connection to Jesus’ suffering & world hunger during the season of lent. Ending the season of Lent with a fast & prayer to identify with Jesus as our Wounded Savior. Students will experience times of worship and individual bible study during the event.

Click “JOIN OUR TEAM” to sign up. When you sign up, you’ll get your very own fundraising webpage. Add your picture and a little bit about why you’re doing the Famine this year, then start sending it out to your family and posting it on Facebook! I created mine so you can see. You can copy exactly what I wrote except that you are not the leader so a bit of the wording will need changed.
The Famine is a blast, but you’ll help change the lives of kids in need when you raise money to help feed and care for them. Let’s work together to hit our goal! We are encouraging every student to set a goal of $210. This will feed a child for 6 months. A minimum of $70 is required for a student to participate in the weekend. $45 will go toward the Numana Project we will sponsor on Saturday. (and just a hint…becoming the FIRST donor to your own account is a GREAT way to encourage others to join in!)
