MEET the TEEN: Millie Flores

What school and grade level are you?

Senior at Andover High School.

Favorite hobby?

I love knitting. I make a mean scarf.

3 things you want to do before you die?

1. Attend an Aerosmith concert with my dad. 2. Go on a hike with my momma somewhere pretty. 3. Not die.

Where will you be living and what will you be doing in 10 years?

Hopefully I will be working for NASA, living in Florida or Alabama.

What movie could you watch over and over again?

Pulp Fiction or Fight Club.

What 3 things you want to have with you if you were stranded alone on an island?

A blowtorch, a metal pot, and some twine.

What is your greatest pet peeve?

When people sneeze into their hands.

What is one question you will ask God when you get to heaven?

Why forgive everyone?

Scariest Disney Villain?

Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland.

If you were going to get stuck at the top of a giant ferris wheel with a celebrity for 2 hours, who would it be?

Barack Obama.

What is a Bible verse that means a lot to you?

Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

If all food in the whole world tasted the same what would it to taste like?

Like those berries in captain crunch.

If you were allowed to throw one thing off the Empire State Building, what would you throw?

Myself if I had a parachute.

If you were given 10 million dollars, what would you do with it?

Pay off my tuition for the next 8 years and buy a hairless cat.

Have you ever cried at a movie? If so, which one?

Yes, Finding Nemo.

What is one of the coolest “God moments” you’ve experienced?

When we made it to Inspiration Point, the view surpassed anything beautiful I had ever seen.

Craziest thing you’ve ever done?

One time I was at the Alley and I saw one of those massive pizzas just sitting there so I took it.

What famous person does Pastor Jeff most remind you of? 

Whoopi Golberg

What is one of the coolest things you’ve ever picked out of a dumpster or trash?

A nice flat screen tv, but we shattered the screen when we tried to pull it out.

What comforts you when you are sad?

I like to curl up in the fetal position and wrap up in a blanket.

If you were going to be an animal, what would you be?


If you could choose one superpower what would it be?

I would like to be a super genius

Have you ever sang out loud to a Justin Beiber song? If so, where? 

Totally. My first middle school dance. I didn’t know any better, I promise!

Favorite song or band?

I love Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top, don’t make me pick between the two.

Coolest place you ever visited?

Cocoa Beach, Florida.

What are a few things that help you draw closer to Jesus?

Working with the kids on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Watching them grow through Christ is beautiful.

What kind of hairdo do you want for the first 1,000 years in heaven?

I don’t want to have hair in heaven. Having hair is a pain in the rear.

What is something you are really good at?

I am very good at math.

Most fun memory with your dad? 

When I was little he took me to this dance show and it was a tribute to Queen. It was awesome.

What’s the scariest thing about boys?

They are too easily impressed

Favorite Holiday?

Thanksgiving. I love turkey.

What song gets stuck in your head the most?

Queen – Bicycle Race

If you could only eat one food for lunch for rest of your life, what would it be?

A mint oreo blizzard

What’s your favorite clip on YouTube?

Any video of ferrets. They’re adorable.

What is your greatest fear?

I’m terrified of shots.

What was your favorite toy when you were 5?

Tinker Toys.

Longest distance you have ever run?

The distance from my bed to my fridge…whatever that is.

Farthest from home you’ve ever been?

When I went to South Dakota with our youth.

If money were NO issue, what would you do with your life?

To be honest, I would probably stay home all day and watch Netflix.

If the President gave you power to change one thing about the USA, what would it be?


Ever stolen a hotel soap or towel off the cart in the hallway?

I have probably taken everything off of the cart at one point or another.

On the airplane, talk to person next to you? Or ignore them?

Only if they appear to be willing to converse and I am not exhausted. I have met some wonderful people that way!
