How long since you felt truly at peace, replenished and connected to God? Maybe it is time to simplify your life. This New Year Sermon Series will give practical helps on how to simplify our lives in order to connect with God, others, and self, more deeply.

 

 

January 11 – Part 1

Exhausted to Energized – Replenishing Your Energy Reserves

Luke 10:38-42, Psalm 127:3, Ecclesiastes 5:18, Matthew 14:13

Three reasons to simply: overwhelmed, overscheduled, exhausted. Suggestions for replenishment are given and people are challenged to take personal responsibility for scheduling into their lives time for those things that will bring life as God intends.

January 18 – Part 2

Overscheduled to Organized – Harnessing Your Calendar’s Power

Ephesians 5:16, Luke 4:16, Matthew 5:37, Matthew 6:33

The first week focuses on exhaustion. This week focuses on being overscheduled. The challenge is given to draft and live out a God-first schedule. Each one will be invited to create a “rule of life.”

 January 25 – Part 3

Overwhelmed to On-Top – Getting On-Top of Finances

Acts 16:31, James 1:17, Philippians 4:12-13, Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:10, Proverbs 6:6-8.

This messages offer give statements to embrace if you desire to step outside of debt and manage finances in a God-honoring way. God desires for us to be free from any kind of bondage.

February 1 – Part 4

Anxious to Peaceful – Conquering Your Fears

Philippians 4:6-7, John 14:27, 16:33

This message is exactly as the title says. The goal is to give people practical Biblical tips on how to genuine shalom in the midst of fear and anxiety.

February 8 – Part 5

Restless to Fulfilled – Refining Your Working World

Ecclesiastes 5:18-19, Psalm 139:14

This message explores how a satisfying job simplifies your life. Furthermore, four foundational alignments are helpful in determining where we can make the most difference vocationally: passion, culture, challenge, and compensation.

February 15 – Part 6

Wounded to Whole – Making Room for Forgiveness

Matthew 18:21-35, Acts 2:46

This message is about forgiveness. By leaning into God, community, and perhaps professional counseling, the hard work of forgiveness is possible. We will explore the devastating results of bitterness, anger, resentment, and grudges.

February 18 Ash Wednesday – Part 7

Drifting to Focused – Claiming God’s Call On Your Life

Romans 12:11, Revelation 3:15-16, Malachi 1:8-11, I Corinthians 2:9, Jude 20-21, and 2 Timothy 4:7

Questions to be asked during this sermon: Does staying fired up spiritually really matter that much? Whose job is it to keep you fired up? What practices keep your spiritual temperature white-hot?
